Thomas Davis suspended two games for hit, will appeal
Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis will be suspended for his head shot on Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams during Sunday’s game, the NFL announced on Monday.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Thomas will file an appeal.

Thomas targeted Adams’ head after a turnover in Carolina’s win over Green Bay, and the wide receiver ended up leaving the game with a concussion.

It’s interesting that Davis got hit with a two-game ban, as Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was suspended one game earlier this month for a similar illegal block. However, the NFL said in a statement that Davis being a repeat offender was taken into consideration:
