Tim Tebow signs endorsement deal with Adidas

Tim Tebow baseball

Tim Tebow may never play a professional sport again, but that does not mean he is going to stop being a marketing machine.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell reports that Tebow has signed a multiyear endorsement deal with Adidas. Tebow was wearing Adidas shorts and cleats on Tuesday when he worked out for MLB scouts.

According to Rovell, Tebow had been engaged in “active dialogue” with shoe and apparel companies for some time, but his pursuit of a career in professional baseball sped talks up a bit. Tebow previously had an endorsement deal worth $300,000 per year with Nike when he was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2010.

While it remains a long shot for Tebow to be signed by an MLB team, he was not as bad on Tuesday as many anticipated. After his workout (videos here), a representative for Tebow claimed as many as six MLB teams have expressed interest in signing the former Florida Gators star.
