If Aaron Rodgers winds up signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he and one of his new teammates will have a head start on the chemistry-building portion of the offseason.
A report emerged on Monday that Rodgers had a throwing session over the weekend with Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf. Evidence of that workout has now surfaced.
Teenage photographer Alex Amen was in attendance at UCLA when Metcalf caught passes from Rodgers. The former NFL MVP looked like he was feeling it on one play after hitting Metcalf with a throw over the middle of the field.

Rodgers is still not signed with Pittsburgh, but yes, the workout did happen! pic.twitter.com/vSa6oKkWIc
Amen shared more from the session on Instagram:
Obviously, Rodgers did not want to hide the fact that he was working out with Metcalf. That could be a good sign for Steelers fans who are hoping their team signs the 41-year-old quarterback.
Rodgers visited with Pittsburgh over a week ago and met with head coach Mike Tomlin, owner Art Rooney II and general manager Omar Khan. Tomlin told reporters on Sunday that the meeting went very well. The coach also indicated that the Steelers have not given Rodgers any type of deadline to make a decision.
The Steelers acquired Metcalf in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks earlier in the offseason. They now have an elite wide receiver duo in Metcalf and George Pickens, which should appeal the Rodgers.
Yet, Rodgers continues to wait. It is possible he wants to drag the process out as long as possible to see if a better opportunity comes along. If Rodgers does wind up in Pittsburgh, it will be a plus that he already has some reps in with Metcalf.
