David Kahn: Chris Webber’s a ‘Schmuck’

I guess it’s name-calling day. Earlier we told you about Glen Beck calling Brian Urlacher a neo-Nazi. Now, we get a continuance of the war of the words that has rapidly developed between Chris Webber and Minnesota Timberwolves GM David Kahn. The latest jab was thrown by Kahn on KSTP radio in Minneapolis, when he called Webber a “schmuck”. Check out Kahn’s comments, courtesy of The Big Lead:

He’s kind of a schmuck, isn’t he? Methinks that he spent a lot of time on NBA TV with a former Timberwolves person and he seemed to come into the interview with an agenda. Tough questions are fine, but I felt like was a little defensive about some of the things.”

The comments were in response to the buzz that’s been created over an NBA TV interview during which Kahn compared Darko Milicic to Webber.  C-Web doesn’t seem to be a big fan of what Kahn has done for the Timberwolves as a franchise and I tend to agree with him, as evidenced by my opinion on the dealing of Al Jefferson.   I also can’t blame Webber for being miffed that a front office figure thinks Milicic is comparable to him as a player.

I don’t know about having an agenda, but it seems to me Webber has a legitimate beef.  Couple that with the fact that he has very little respect for Kahn as a GM, and I don’t think he needs any type of agenda to get defensive.  Something tells me C-Web will fire back.  Stay tuned.
