Caleb Williams had an intriguing response to the Maxx Crosby trade falling through

March 11, 2026 by Grey Papke
FacebookTweetLinkedInRedditThreadsWhatsAppEmail

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams seems quite pleased that the Baltimore Ravens’ trade for Maxx Crosby fell through.

Williams curiously responded to the NFL’s post about Trey Hendrickson joining the Ravens with a smiling emoji. The fact that Williams responded at all sparked speculation that he is taking a particular interest in the edge rusher market, and specifically the fact that the Ravens’ acquisition of Crosby is now off the table.

Caleb Williams left an interesting comment on the NFL’s official Instagram post about the Ravens signing Trey Hendrickson.

To many, the implication is not that Williams is glad the Ravens will not be getting Crosby. Instead, it is that the Bears might now have a second chance to trade for him. The Bears were linked to Crosby before the Raiders initially traded him to the Ravens, and there was reason to believe Crosby was interested in playing for Chicago.

It remains to be seen if the Raiders will even try to trade Crosby again. There have been some suggestions that they are prepared to sit tight and plan to keep him. That might ultimately come down to whether a team other than the Ravens would be willing to give up two first-round picks for the star edge rusher.

Crosby had 10 sacks in 15 games last season despite playing through a torn meniscus. He hopes to be fully recovered and ready for the start of next season.

Giants co-owner is transferring his ownership stake after appearing in Epstein files

March 11, 2026 by Grey Papke
FacebookTweetLinkedInRedditThreadsWhatsAppEmail

New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch is attempting to transfer his ownership stake in the team following his appearance in the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Tisch, along with his brother and sister, are seeking to transfer their ownership stakes to their children’s trusts, according to multiple reports. If approved, that would mean the trio would no longer own any formal stakes in the team’s ownership. Any transfer must be approved by the NFL before it becomes official.

Dianna Russini and Kate Strang of The Athletic reported, however, that the move might not lead to any significant changes in how the team is run.

The move is almost certainly in response to Tisch’s presence in January’s release of Epstein’s private emails. The correspondence revealed exchanges between Tisch and Epstein regarding introductions to adult women. While Tisch’s mere presence in the files does not imply wrongdoing, it quickly attracted controversy and drew the NFL’s attention.

Tisch’s father purchased a 50 percent stake in the Giants in 1991. He has been a chairman and executive vice president of the team since 2005 alongside John Mara.

Wizards coach sounded so salty over Bam Adebayo’s 83-point game

March 11, 2026 by Grey Papke
FacebookTweetLinkedInRedditThreadsWhatsAppEmail

Washington Wizards coach Brian Keefe certainly did not seem to be in the mood to congratulate Bam Adebayo after the Miami Heat center dropped 83 points on his team Tuesday night.

Keefe was dismissive of the circumstances that led to Adebayo’s performance when speaking after the Heat’s 150-129 win over Washington at Kaseya Center in Miami, Fla. The Wizards coach questioned some of the fourth quarter foul calls that put Adebayo on the line, and outright said the final quarter barely resembled a real basketball game.

“They obviously kept him in the game, and there was a lot of foul calls. 16 free throws in the fourth quarter,” Keefe said. “Just trying to take the ball out of his hands. He still got some free throws 40 feet from the rim. I can’t explain some of those calls. That’s all I’ve got to say on that.

“The fourth quarter just turned into not a real basketball game. We gotta be better with our ball security and we’ve gotta own the fact that we let this guy get hot. That’s on us.”

Brian Keefe on Bam Adebayo’s 83 points:

“They kept him in the game and there were a lot of foul calls — 16 free throws in the fourth quarter. [We were] just trying to take the ball out of his hands.”

“The fourth quarter just turned into not a real basketball game.” pic.twitter.com/t33Goer7Rl

— Greg Finberg (@GregFinberg) March 11, 2026

Keefe was happy to credit Adebayo for the first three quarters, which saw the center post 62 points. In the fourth, Adebayo added 21 more, with 14 of them coming at the free throw line. Of course, part of the reason Adebayo got to the line so much is that the Wizards resorted to double- and even triple-teaming him at times to try to get the ball out of his hands and prevent him from adding to his points total.

Obviously, no coach wants to be on the receiving end of a game like this. Keefe will have no trouble finding someone who sympathizes with him. Essentially tossing out the entire fourth quarter just makes him sound like he’s bitter.

Keefe is in his second full season as head coach of the Wizards. He has gone 42-143 in 185 games.

Daniel Jones gets enormous new contract

March 11, 2026 by Grey Papke
FacebookTweetLinkedInRedditThreadsWhatsAppEmail

Daniel Jones will officially be returning to the Indianapolis Colts with an enormous payday.

The Colts re-signed Jones to a two-year deal worth $88 million, according to multiple reports. The contract could wind up being worth as much as $100 million if the quarterback achieves certain incentives, and is the largest two-year deal in NFL history.

Details:
— Base value of $88M is $5M more than if Jones played on back-to-back transition tags.
— Incentives starting with $100K earned for each game the team wins with Jones playing 50% total up to $6M.
— Jones will earn $50M in 2026 before the incentives — a $12.2M… https://t.co/1I7FXl5TY5

— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 11, 2026

The move takes Jones off the transition tag and entitles him to more money than he would have received on it, and also ensures he will have another crack at cashing in long-term during the prime of his career. It also gives the Colts a second year without completely locking them into a long-term deal if things go awry after one season.

The Colts had used the transition tag on Jones to ensure he did not hit the open market, but were always committed to trying to get a deal done with him. The quarterback is working his way back from a torn Achilles but intends to be ready to go for the start of the 2026 season.

Jones was a breakout star for the Colts in 2025. Before his season-ending injury, he threw for 3,101 yards with 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He had the team well on their way to the playoffs before his injury, only for the team to fail to win another game after he went down.

Angel Reese makes a big move abroad

March 11, 2026 by Rex Villas
FacebookTweetLinkedInRedditThreadsWhatsAppEmail

Angel Reese continues to take care of business off the court.

While the WNBA and the Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) have yet to hammer out a framework for a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA), Reese has expanded further her growing business portfolio.

The 23-year-old Reese has secured a spot in the ownership group of a men’s professional basketball franchise abroad, specifically the Brisbane Bullets of Australia’s National Basketball League (NBL).

On Tuesday, the Bullets announced that “global basketball icon and entrepreneur Angel Reese is joining the club’s ownership group, alongside Jason Levien and Ben Haan.”

This latest development for Reese came after the former LSU Tigers star’s trip to Australia to promote her signature Reebok shoes, the Angel Reese 1.

Apparently, Reese’s appeal goes beyond the basketball scene in the United States. Even in the Land Down Under, the WNBA’s rebounding machine has an established presence.

“Angel is a fantastic ambassador for basketball and a globally recognised superstar,” Bullets CEO Malcolm Watts said.

“Basketball is Queensland’s fastest growing sport, and that is a powerful message for kids picking up a basketball in Brisbane.”

A WNBA All-Star in each of her first two seasons with the Sky, Reese has averaged a double-double of 14.7 points and 12.6 rebounds per game since entering the league in 2024.

Ravens win Trey Hendrickson bidding war with a mammoth $112 million contract

March 11, 2026 by Rex Villas
FacebookTweetLinkedInRedditThreadsWhatsAppEmail

As it turned out, the Baltimore Ravens didn’t have to look far for a new star pass rusher.

They found one right in their own division, as Trey Hendrickson moves from the Cincinnati Bengals to the Ravens on a monster four-year, $112 million contract, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

After controversially backing out from the trade for Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby due to health concerns, the Ravens quickly pivoted and landed the four-time Pro Bowler, beating out the competition for Hendrickson’s signature.

The Bengals did not use the franchise tag on Hendrickson, and now he’s one of their biggest problems in the AFC North. Joe Burrow will have to contend with his former teammate at least twice every season going forward.

With the Ravens, the 31-year-old Hendrickson will look to rebound from a letdown year in 2025 and help give Baltimore’s pass rush a much-needed shot in the arm.

Last season, he dealt with an injury and appeared in only seven games, collecting just 4.0 sacks with 16 combined tackles. Meanwhile, the Ravens were tied for the third-fewest sacks in the league with only 30 to their name.

In his NFL career, the former Florida Atlantic star has 81.0 sacks and 15 forced fumbles over 117 games.

Syracuse makes a decision on Adrian Autry after humiliating ACC Tournament loss

March 11, 2026 by Rex Villas
FacebookTweetLinkedInRedditThreadsWhatsAppEmail

Jim Boeheim coached the Syracuse Orange for nearly 50 years. His successor lasted only three seasons on the job.

According to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, Syracuse is firing head coach Adrian Autry on Wednesday, with an official announcement expected within the day.

It started well for Autry with Syracuse, as he guided the Orange to 20 wins in the 2023-24 season. But they never surpassed that success in the next two seasons, winning only 14 games in the 2024-25 campaign and 15 in what turned out to be his last calling the shots for the program.

The Orange lost six games in a row in the 2025-26 season, including Tuesday’s 86-69 defeat to the SMU Mustangs in the first round of the ACC Tournament, essentially snuffing out Syracuse’s already dim hopes to make the NCAA Tournament.

Autry had big shoes to fill when he took over Syracuse’s coaching job, following Boeheim, a Basketball Hall of Famer, who steered the Orange to over 1,000 wins and an NCAA championship in 2003.

Ultimately, the Orange was clearly not satisfied with Autry’s body of work and the program’s regression after his promising first season at the helm. His stint as Syracuse’s head coach resulted in a mediocre 49-48 record.

Charlie McAvoy scores OT game-winner after losing more teeth

March 11, 2026 by Rex Villas
FacebookTweetLinkedInRedditThreadsWhatsAppEmail

Missing teeth and all, Charlie McAvoy proved he can deliver a big bite in crunch time during Tuesday’s Boston Bruins game against the Los Angeles Kings.

McAvoy left in the second period of the game at TD Garden in Boston, Mass., after he was crushed into the glass by Los Angeles forward Samuel Helenius. He lost more teeth in the game, adding to the ones he’d already lost in previous outings.

But that did not stop McAvoy from coming back to the ice at the start of the third frame. The 28-year-old defenseman even scored the game-winning goal just 39 seconds into overtime to give the Bruins a 2-1 victory. It was the perfect payback for McAvoy, whose dentist has some work to do.

After the game, a bloody-mouthed McAvoy talked to reporters and bemoaned the punishment he’d taken thus far in the 2025–26 season.

“You know, I wish the hits would stop coming,” McAvoy said, via Bridgette Proulx of Hockey East. “Honestly, just it’s tiring. My mouth honestly can’t even feel worse, but I’ll get some work. We got a really good dentist here who’s great.”

McAvoy is missing more teeth and says the injuries piling up is getting exhausting:

"You guys get 2 questions, I have to go get more dental work done."

It can be recalled that McAvoy missed nearly a month after he was hit by a puck in the mouth in November. Last week, he took a puck to the face during a game against the Nashville Predators.

Hockey is a brutal sport, and McAvoy can definitely attest to that.

Nevertheless, he’d likely sacrifice more teeth if that meant winning the Stanley Cup.

Raptors coach when Kobe dropped 81 had the best reaction to Bam Adebayo’s historic night

March 11, 2026 by Rex Villas
FacebookTweetLinkedInRedditThreadsWhatsAppEmail

The long nightmare is over for former Toronto Raptors head coach Sam Mitchell.

On Tuesday, when no one expected it to happen, Kobe Bryant’s legendary 81-point game in 2006 against Mitchell’s Raptors was finally surpassed, with Miami Heat star big man Bam Adebayo erupting for 83 points in a 150-129 win over theWashington Wizards at Kaseya Center in Miami, Fla.

Thanks to Adebayo, Mitchell no longer has to wake up every morning as the man whose team gave up the second-most points by a player in a single game. He carried the dubious honor for two decades, but not anymore. Wednesday has dawned with Washington head coach Brian Keefe as the new owner of that unwanted distinction.

While on duty to cover Tuesday’s game between the Houston Rockets and the Raptors, Mitchell couldn’t help but celebrate the end of a 20-year spell. You can watch his celebration here.

The 62-year-old Mitchell made a toast with host Kate Beirness and Canadian Basketball Hall of Famer Leo Rautins, with the former NBA Coach of the Year winner also sending a message to Keefe.

“Coach, look, it’s not as bad as you think it is,” Mitchell said.  “You know what, you’re going to wake up tomorrow, the sun is going to come up, or it’s going to snow, whatever it’s doing in D.C., and you’re going to remember this moment.”

After sharing that flowery advice, a relieved Mitchell summed up his true feelings after passing the baton to Keefe.

“Better you than me. Congratulations. Thank you for taking my spot.”

Keefe now just has to hope that it will not take 20 years or longer for someone to score at least 84 points in a game.

Team USA manager Mark DeRosa being interviewed on MLB Network

Mark DeRosa admits he thought Team USA had already advanced before stunning WBC loss to Italy

March 10, 2026 by Renzo Pocholo Salao
FacebookTweetLinkedInRedditThreadsWhatsAppEmail

Team USA manager Mark DeRosa did not fully understand the tiebreaker rules in this year’s World Baseball Classic.

DeRosa appeared on MLB Network on Tuesday, hours before Team USA took on Italy in the Americans’ final game of pool play at Daikin Park in Houston, Texas. Team USA’s skipper spoke about wanting to win the contest despite it being inconsequential for his squad, which he claimed had already clinched a quarterfinals berth.

“Ton of respect for Italy,” DeRosa said. “It’s weird. We want to win this game even though our ticket’s punched to the quarterfinals because Mexico plays Italy actually tomorrow. The way the schedule lines up, it’s an important game for us.”

“It’s weird. We want to win this game even though our ticket’s punched to the quarterfinals.” -Team USA manager Mark DeRosa earlier today

— Talkin' Baseball (@TalkinBaseball_) March 11, 2026

Team USA had not, in fact, punched its ticket to the quarterfinals just yet. DeRosa’s quote spread like wildfire after the Americans lost to the Italians 8-6 in a stunning upset, leaving Team USA in jeopardy of getting eliminated.

If Mexico beats Italy on Wednesday, all three teams would be tied atop the Pool B standings at 3-1 with only two advancing. The tiebreaker is based on a runs-allowed quotient calculated as follows: fewest runs allowed divided by the number of defensive outs recorded in the games in that round between the teams tied.

In simpler terms, Team USA would need either Italy to score at least 5 runs or Mexico to score at least 6 runs when the latter two teams face off on Wednesday, assuming Mexico wins.

DeRosa spoke to reporters after the game and admitted that he “misspoke” and that he “completely misread the calculations” while preparing for Tuesday’s game.

“I misspoke… Completely misread the calculations.”

Manager Mark DeRosa confirms he did not know Team USA could still be eliminated during pool play pic.twitter.com/n5Gbo3SxcB

— Talkin' Baseball (@TalkinBaseball_) March 11, 2026

It’s all moot if Italy wins to sweep Pool B, allowing Team USA to advance without any complications. But it wouldn’t erase the fact that DeRosa made a serious error heading into a critical WBC game. He could have made some key decisions in the contest under the assumption that he had free rein to experiment rather than go for a win. Team USA’s hopes rest on another team’s hands.

There was no happier human in the building on Tuesday for Bam Adebayo’s historic 83-point night than his girlfriend A’ja Wilson.

Wilson was sitting courtside to witness every basket and free throw Adebayo made — and there were a lot of them. The Miami Heat star’s 83 points consisted of 20 field goals, 7 threes, and 36 (!!!) free throws in a 150-129 win over the Washington Wizards at Kaseya Center in Miami, Fla.

Adebayo’s lady was loving every minute of it. The Las Vegas Aces star had the biggest smile on her face and was clapping nonstop like she was auditioning to be one of the Heat’s cheerleaders.

Notable update emerges about Maxx Crosby’s status amid failed trade

March 10, 2026 by Darryn Albert
FacebookTweetLinkedInRedditThreadsWhatsAppEmail

Maxx Crosby has a few outcomes on the table in the wake of his failed trade to the Baltimore Ravens.

The stunning news broke on Tuesday night that the Ravens have decided to back out of their agreed-upon trade with the Las Vegas Raiders for the star defensive end Crosby. Baltimore reportedly encountered a medical issue with Crosby and failed him on his pre-trade physical.

In the wake of the news, ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared a notable update on Crosby’s status. Schefter reports that the Raiders have already received calls from “several” other teams about Crosby’s availability. However, Schefter adds that Las Vegas is prepared “for now” to get Crosby healthy and have him play for them again.

The five-time NFL Pro Bowler Crosby notably played through a knee injury last season, later revealed to be a torn meniscus. He first suffered the injury in Week 9 before finally being shut down by the Raiders in Week 17 (causing major tensions between the two sides).

Crosby’s agent CJ LaBoy did also share an update of his own on Tuesday amid the news of the Ravens backing out of the trade. LaBoy posted to X that the 28-year-old Crosby was “on track” and potentially even “ahead of schedule” in his recovery from the meniscus tear.

Maxx continues to be on track in his recovery and if anything is ahead of schedule according to his surgeon Dr Neal El Attrache. Maxx remains on track to return during the offseason program & will undoubtedly return as the dominant game wrecker he has been these past 7 seasons.

— CJ LaBoy (@CJLaBoy) March 11, 2026

Before the agreed-upon trade with Baltimore, Crosby had primarily been linked to one opposing team, in large part due to his own comments. But the Raiders once again hold the cards here and will be able to make another decision on whether to keep Crosby or to trade him away again.

Internet reacts to Bam Adebayo’s unbelievable 83-point game

March 10, 2026 by Darryn Albert

Bam Adebayo had the out-of-body experience of a lifetime on Tuesday night.

The Miami Heat star center Adebayo dropped an impossible-to-believe 83 points (not a typo) against the Washington Wizards at Kaseya Center in Miami, Fla. With Tyler Herro, Norman Powell, Andrew Wiggins, and other key scorers missing, Adebayo put the team on his back, going 20/43 from the field, 7/22 from three, and a whopping 36/43 from the free throw line to lead Miami to a 150-129 victory.

Adebayo’s mythical night marked the second-highest single-game scoring total in NBA history, behind only Wilt Chamberlain’s fabled 100-point game in 1962. The three-time All-Star Adebayo also surpassed Kobe Bryant’s legendary 81-point game in 2006 for the highest scoring game of the modern NBA era.

Fans on the Internet were in total disbelief over Adebayo’s history-making performance. Take a look at some of the best reactions.

The 28-year-old Adebayo had a previous career high of “only” 41 points and proceeded to more than double that on Tuesday night. He also entered play against the Wizards averaging just 19.8 points per game on the season, making his 83-point outburst arguably the most shocking individual performance in NBA history.

Adebayo entered the league back in 2017 with defense as his calling card (having since gone on to make five All-Defensive teams and counting). But now Adebayo can proudly say that he is the owner of the NBA’s single top scoring performance since John F. Kennedy’s presidency.

Bam Adebayo scores 83 points to pass Kobe Bryant

March 10, 2026 by Renzo Pocholo Salao

Bam Adebayo etched his name in NBA history books Tuesday with a scoring feat that will stand the test of time.

The Miami Heat center scored 83 points to surpass Kobe Bryant for the second-highest scoring total in a single game in NBA history, trailing only Wilt Chamberlain’s 100 points for the most all-time. Adebayo shot 20/43 from the field with 7 three-pointers to go along with 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.

The Wizards started triple-teaming Adebayo late in the fourth quarter, but it came far too late to prevent him from passing Bryant’s iconic 81-point mark. The added pressure helped Adebayo draw some easy fouls to get to the free throw line, where he scored 36 of his 83 points in the 150-129 Heat victory.

Adebayo scored his final two points on a pair of free throws, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.

Adebayo started the game scorching hot with a Heat franchise record 31 points in the first quarter, which broke LeBron James’ record of 25 set in 2014. It was merely a sign of things to come as the All-Star center set his sights on an even bigger record.

Adebayo scored 12 points in the second quarter to break his own career high of 41 by halftime. He tacked on 21 more by the end of the third quarter to break LeBron’s 61-point franchise record with a quarter to spare.

Former NBA guard in tears after coaching his alma mater to NCAA tournament

Former NBA guard Speedy Claxton could not hide his emotions after etching his name in Hofstra history books as a coach.

Claxton, who played four years at Hofstra from 1996 to 2000, has served as the Pride’s head coach since 2021. On Tuesday, Claxton helped secure Hofstra a spot in the NCAA Tournament — the program’s first in 25 years.

Hofstra beat Monmouth 75-69 to win the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) tournament championship and an automatic bid to the big dance in March. Once the result was all but final, Claxton was seen sobbing into the shoulder of one of his assistant coaches.

The last time Hofstra played in March Madness was in 2001, a year after Claxton graduated and got drafted as a first-round pick in the NBA.

Hofstra finished third in the regular season with a 22-10 record and a 12-6 mark in conference play. But the two teams ahead of them in the standings, UNC Wilmington and Charleston, both got upset in the CAA quarterfinals.

Claxton could lead the Pride to even greater heights if the team is able to advance past the first round. Hofstra has never won an NCAA Tournament game in the program’s 62-year history.

Jaylen Brown yelling at a referee

Jaylen Brown drops a profane post online immediately after being ejected

March 10, 2026 by Darryn Albert
FacebookTweetLinkedInRedditThreadsWhatsAppEmail

Jaylen Brown pulled a Puka Nacua during Tuesday night’s game.

The Boston Celtics star Brown was ejected on Tuesday against the San Antonio Spurs. In the second quarter at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, Brown was issued two technical fouls and ejected after arguing a no-call.

Brown felt that he had been pushed during an offensive possession by Spurs guard Stephon Castle. No whistle was blown however by referee Tyler Ford (No. 39), resulting in an out-of-bounds turnover by Brown.

The former Finals MVP Brown immediately started yelling at Ford, saying, “He f–king pushed me!” After being given a bit of leeway, Brown was assessed a technical foul. He then continued to go after Ford, resulting in the second technical foul and an automatic ejection.

Here is the video.

— Fullcourtpass (@Fullcourtpass) March 11, 2026

Almost immediately after being ejected, Brown continued the obscenities. He took to his X page (presumably from the locker room) to vent about the ejection.

“This the s–t I be talking about,” Brown wrote (profanity edited by LBS).

It appears that Brown was referring to his postgame rant from the Celtics’ previous game against the Spurs on Jan. 10 (a 100-95 loss for Boston). After that game, Brown blasted the referees for “bulls–t” and “inconsistency” and ended up getting fined $35,000 by the NBA.

The five-time NBA All-Star Brown is in the midst of a magical season for the Celtics, averaging 28.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game (all career-highs). But he is having a real bone to pick with the officials lately and couldn’t even wait until after Tuesday’s game to get out his latest rant against them.

Luka Doncic is dealing with some major drama in his personal life.

The Los Angeles Lakers star Doncic has split from his fiancée Anamaria Goltes, with whom he shares two daughters. Doncic confirmed the news in a statement to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin on Tuesday.

“I love my daughters more than anything and I’ve been doing everything I can for them to be with me in the U.S. during the season,” Doncic said in the statement. “But that hasn’t been possible, so I recently made the tough decision to end my engagement.

“Everything I do is for my daughters’ happiness and I will always fight to be with them and give them the best life I can,” added Doncic.

McMenamin’s report states that Doncic flew back to Slovenia this past December for the birth of his second daughter with Goltes but that a disagreement between the couple then ensued after Doncic expressed a desire to bring their older daughter back with him to the U.S. (with Goltes ultimately calling the police on Doncic). Local police reportedly did not find “any elements of a criminal offense or misdemeanor,” and Doncic ended up leaving the hospital peacefully and returning to the U.S.

Doncic reportedly has not seen Goltes or his two daughters ever since then. The former NBA scoring champion is now said to be in a custody battle for his children. You can read McMenamin’s full report on the situation here.

TMZ Sports further reports that Goltes has filed a petition for child support of their two daughters. The petition reportedly states that Goltes moved back to Slovenia in May 2025. Goltes is only said to be seeking child support and attorney’s fees in the petition however and not custody.

The six-time All-Star Doncic, 27, announced his engagement to Goltes, also 27, in 2023. Goltes, a fashion and fitness model, had previously revealed that she first met Doncic when they were both 12 years old and that they first began dating back in 2016.

Doncic and Goltes welcomed their first daughter Gabriela in Dec. 2023. Their second daughter Olivia was born in Dec. 2025, and Doncic shared an Instagram post about Olivia’s birth at the time.

Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo had a first quarter for the ages on Tuesday against the Washington Wizards.

The 3-time All-Star known for his defensive prowess showed off on the other side of the floor in front of a home crowd at Kaseya Center in Miami, Fla. Adebayo started to sizzle early with the Heat’s first seven points of the contest, and 14 of their first 16 halfway through the period.

Washington was helpless in trying to slow Adebayo down. The Heat star stayed white-hot with 15 more points before the first quarter came to an end. Adebayo’s final line: 31 points on 10/16 shooting, 5/8 from three-point range, and 6/7 from the free throw line.

Adebayo outscored the Wizards 31-29 by himself as the Heat led 40-29 entering the second quarter. He shattered the Heat franchise record of 25 points in a quarter set by LeBron James over a decade ago. Bam’s total was the fifth-highest in a quarter in the play-by-play era.

Adebayo kept it going in the second quarter. The All-Star center tacked on 12 more points to finish with 43 points at the half, already surpassing his career high of 41 with two more quarters to play.

Giants sign a 6-time Pro Bowler who played for John Harbaugh

The New York Giants are bringing in an old John Harbaugh company man.

New York has agreed to sign veteran fullback Patrick Ricard in free agency, NFL writer Jordan Schultz reported on Tuesday. Schultz adds that Ricard is getting a two-year contract from the Giants that will make him the highest-paid fullback in the NFL.

Ricard, 31, began his career with Harbaugh and the Baltimore Ravens in 2017 after going undrafted. He went on to spend nine illustrious seasons in Baltimore from there.

Widely regarded as one of the very best in the league at his position, Ricard was a six-time Pro Bowler with the Ravens. Nicknamed “Pancake Pat,” Ricard also earned three All-Pro nods during his time in Baltimore, including a First Team All-Pro selection in 2024.

But the Ravens decided to fire Harbaugh in January after 18 total seasons with them and ultimately replaced him with new head coach Jesse Minter. With Harbaugh having since taken over as head coach of the Giants, Ricard will now be following him to East Rutherford.

The 6-foot-3, 300-pound Ricard has also gotten snaps at defensive tackle and on special teams before. While New York has been doing a lot of downsizing so far this offseason, they have now decided to bring in a very familiar face for their new coach Harbaugh in Ricard, who will be tasked with blocking for running back Cam Skattebo.

Ravens back out of the Maxx Crosby trade in a stunner

Maxx Crosby will not be headed to Baltimore after all.

The Baltimore Ravens have stunningly decided to back out of their trade for the star defensive end Crosby. The Las Vegas Raiders, Baltimore’s would-be trade partner, announced the news in an official statement released Tuesday.

“The Baltimore Ravens have backed out of our trade agreement for Maxx Crosby,” the Raiders’ statement read. “We will have no further comment at this time.”

Baltimore had agreed in principle last Friday to acquire the five-time NFL Pro Bowler Crosby from Las Vegas in exchange for a rich haul of draft-pick compensation. But the trades and free agent signings cannot be made official just yet until the start of the new league year on March 11.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports that the Ravens backed out of the Crosby deal due to a medical reason, noting that trades are contingent on a physical. It is unclear at this point what exactly that medical reason was. But we do know that Crosby had grown frustrated with the Raiders over a knee injury that he had been playing through since Week 9 of the 2025 season (before finally getting shut down by the team in Week 17).

Baltimore had seemingly been very excited to acquire the 28-year-old Crosby as even their star QB Lamar Jackson expressed his delight. But now Crosby will simply be returning to Las Vegas as the team potentially looks to trade him again (though any interested suitors may now have significant pause given Baltimore’s decision to back out).
