Executives and coaches reportedly believe Brock Osweiler struggling with confidence
Houston Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler’s struggles may be down to a very simple thing – confidence.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, there is a belief among some NFL executives and coaches that Osweiler has simply lost confidence in his own abilities and it has negatively impacted his play. An example cited to Schefter was Osweiler missing his wide open tight end by three yards during Monday’s game against the Denver Broncos, suggesting a lack of faith in his skills.
Osweiler has struggled mightily since signing a hefty contract to become Houston’s franchise quarterback, with eight touchdowns and eight interceptions thus far.
The quarterback has been so bad that the idea of benching him has been talked about by some observers, though not the coach. That probably wouldn’t help his confidence either.
