Jerry Jones says Randy Gregory not in danger of being suspended
Randy Gregory played in his first NFL game since 2016 on Sunday, but there have been reports that he is facing another lengthy suspension and could wind up not playing again this season. According to Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, those reports are inaccurate.
In his weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan Tuesday, Jones said he avoided the media after Sunday’s 16-8 loss to the Carolina Panthers because he did not want to discuss Gregory’s status. He insists the defensive end is clear to play in Week 2 and not having any issues with the league.
Jerry Jones said Gregory is good to go for Sunday against the Giants, apart from his health. No league issue at all

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Sunday that Gregory had a drug-related relapse last month and is under investigation by the NFL. However, Schefter also noted that league officials are taking into consideration the strides Gregory has made since then.
Gregory has violated the NFL’s substance abuse policy multiple times and was suspended for the entire 2017 season. His history of getting into trouble off the field dates back to before the Cowboys drafted him in the second round.
