Johnny Manziel to plead not guilty to Colleen Crowley assault charge
Johnny Manziel was formally indicted by a Dallas County grand jury on Tuesday. As expected, he will plead not guilty to the misdemeanor assault charge.
Manziel’s lead attorney Jim Darnell released a statement shortly after the indictment was filed saying he is confident the former Browns quarterback will be acquitted.

Manziel is accused of intentionally harming his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley by hitting her and forcing her into a car. Crowley claims Manziel caused serious bodily harm to her, and you can read more about the accusations here.
Rebecca Lopez of WFAA-TV reports that Manziel is expected to turn himself in and post bond on Tuesday.
Manziel and Crowley reached a settlement out of court. A judge granted a protective order against Manziel back in February that states he must stay away from Crowley until at least Feb. 3, 2018.
