Julian Edelman cracked a joke about teammate Tom Brady bulking up.
Brady spoke with local reporters from New England Patriots training camp on Wednesday. He told the reporters that he had bulked up during the offseason to help him absorb hits.
“I wanted to get a little bigger this year and put on a few more pounds and try to absorb the hits a little bit more,” Brady said. “I worked pretty hard at that.”
Edelman saw the story and retweeted it. He added in his commentary, calling Brady “Tommy weight room” and adding in a few funny weightlifting and laughing emojis.

Apparently he’s getting a kick out of the 42-year-old Brady, who’s never been known for his physique, bulking up.
The focus on training has helped Brady play as well as he has despite his age. Of course, some would also say that Edelman is the last person who should be joking about the subject matter.
