Packers coach Matt LaFleur suffered torn Achilles playing pick-up basketball
Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur will be coaching at less than 100 percent strength for the foreseeable future after he suffered a significant injury this week.
As Michael Silver of NFL Network passed along, LaFleur suffered a torn Achilles tendon while taking part in a game of “knockout” on the basketball court at the Packers team facility this week. He is scheduled to undergo surgery on Sunday and will need to ride around practice in a cart for several weeks.
One significant piece of the Packers' new-look offense will be severely hobbled during the rest of the offseason and beyond: New coach Matt LaFleur suffered a torn Achilles' tendon playing in a Knockout game on a Lambeau hoops court Wednesday night and will have surgery Sunday…

LaFleur has had some very proud moments in his first offseason as an NFL head coach, and hopefully tearing his Achilles on the basketball court will be the low point. With any luck, LaFleur should be feeling a lot better by the time Week 1 rolls around.
