Puka Nacua ejected from Rams-Seahawks game for throwing punch
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua was ejected from Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks after he got into a scuffle with an opposing player.
Seahawks cornerback Riq Woolen intercepted a Matthew Stafford pass that was intended for Nacua with less than a minute remaining in the first half at Lumen Field in Seattle, Wash. Woolen stepped out of bounds at the Seahawks’ 25 but did not realize it, so he kept running. Seattle linebacker Tyrel Dodson saw that his teammate was still running and tried to throw a block on Nacua, who did not appreciate the contact.
Nacua and Woolen then got into it, and Nacua swung his arm at the defensive back. An official standing nearby felt the act constituted throwing a punch, which is an automatic ejection.

Nacua returned last week from a knee injury that sidelined him for several games. He then tweaked his knee in practice leading up to Sunday’s game but was still able to play. His day ended early, anyway.
Nacua was the second player to get ejected from a game on Sunday, and both plays were somewhat controversial.
