Steve Smith would ‘quit today’ if Ravens traded him
Steve Smith says he would quit if the Ravens traded him, and luckily, the franchise seems to have no plans to do so.
Smith has been subject of some trade speculation with the Ravens sitting at 1-5 and seemingly going nowhere this season and Smith having stated that this will be his final season. Smith, however, has no time for that sort of speculation, and he isn’t interested in leaving the Ravens for a contender.
“If they traded me, I’d quit today,” Smith told the Ravens’ official website. “I like to finish what I started.”
Coach John Harbaugh said that Smith won’t need to worry about that.
“There’s no chance of that,” Harbaugh said. “I wouldn’t part with him.”
Smith has been one of the Ravens’ most vital offensive players despite playing through a back injury. It seems that no matter how bad things get for the Ravens, he’ll be sticking things out in Baltimore.
