Florida made sure to add insult to injury Saturday after dealing LSU its third loss in a row.
The Gators beat the Tigers 27-16 in front of a rabid crowd at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Fla. The two teams entered the fourth quarter tied 13-13 before Florida scored two touchdowns to seal a two-score victory.
Florida’s social media manager was evidently sitting on the perfect post in the event of a Gators win. The account posted on X with a succinct yet stinging jab at LSU head coach Brian Kelly.
“Please don’t damage our tables coach,” the post read, along with a GIF of Kelly smashing his fist on a table.
Florida had its prayers answered as Kelly largely kept things peaceful during his postgame press conference.
The post was in reference to Kelly’s press conference meltdown after LSU’s season-opening loss to USC back in September. What was supposed to be a show of passion from Kelly has now turned into one of his most viral memes.
LSU bounced back from its loss to USC with six straight wins to go 6-1. But the Tigers entered Saturday coming off back-to-back loses against ranked opponents.

Larry Fitzgerald’s son certainly looks to be taking after him in the pass-catching department.
Video went viral on Saturday of a catch Fitzgerald’s son Devin made for Brophy College Preparatory High School in Phoenix, Az. The younger Fitzgerald made a leaping one-handed grab to haul in a pass at the goal line in a 54-0 victory, showing off some incredible athleticism in the process.
Devin Fitzgerald is part of the 2026 recruiting class and is considered a three-star prospect by 247 Sports. He is drawing widespread interest from colleges, including Arizona, Minnesota, and Pitt, his father’s alma mater.
The elder Fitzgerald last played in 2020, and is just waiting for his Hall of Fame call at this point. If his son is half as good as he was, Devin will have a very successful football career.

Count LeBron James among those impressed with what Deion Sanders has accomplished with the Colorado Buffaloes.
James took to X on Saturday to send a pointed message to Sanders’ critics after Colorado’s convincing 49-24 win over Utah. James suggested Sanders’ critics are “in hiding,” and that Sanders has graduated from “we coming” to “we here.”
James has long been a fan of Sanders, and had backed Sanders as a potential Florida State coach before the former NFL star had even started his college coaching career. He would be pretty justified in feeling quite smart right now. He’s also probably feeling a touch disappointed with recent reports about whether Sanders might be an option for his beloved Dallas Cowboys.
Saturday’s win moved Colorado to 8-2 on the season, which is already a four-win improvement from last year. Sanders’ methods may not be for everyone, but there is no question that they are translating to results.
The Kennesaw State Owls made the controversial decision to move on from head coach Brian Bohannon earlier this week, drawing significant criticism for both the move and the school’s handling of it. Bohannon, however, showed his class on Saturday with a move he did not have to make.
Bohannon was on hand to greet his former players at Kennesaw State’s traditional stadium walk prior to their game against Sam Houston on Saturday. Bohannon was trying to pump up and encourage his players, all of whom seemed happy to see him.
Bohannon had been the only head coach in the history of Kennesaw State’s program after beginning play at the FCS level in 2015. The Owls were consistently successful at that level and began the transition to the FBS and Conference USA after the 2022 season, a move that has been accompanied by some struggles. Bohannon was let go as Kennesaw State’s coach this week after a 1-8 start to the season, even though he boasts a career 72-38 record with the school.
To make matters worse, the school originally portrayed Bohannon’s departure as his own decision, only for Bohannon to state that he was let go against his wishes.
Kennesaw State looks bad for this whole affair, while Bohannon looks like the bigger man. Between his solid record and the respectable way in which he has handled himself, Bohannon likely has a coaching future elsewhere.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Trey Lance did not get much of a chance to play in Week 10, but he played enough to get a fairly hefty fine for an odd reason.
Lance received a $22,511 fine for unnecessary roughness as the NFL continues to crack down on the use of the helmet during games. The play in question involved Lance trying to knock Eagles safety Reed Blankenship out of bounds after Blankenship had recovered a fumble.
The NFL hands out a lot of fines of this nature on a weekly basis, some more blatant than others. This one seems particularly harsh on Lance, who was presumably just trying to knock Blankenship out of bounds without putting himself at too much risk physically.
Players have been fined by the league this year over plays in which they picked up concussions. The league has no mercy on these matters, as Lance is finding out.

After a playoff breakthrough in 2024, the Kansas City Royals are reportedly trying to make a significant move to keep the momentum going for 2025.
The Royals have identified Cincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India as a trade target, according to C. Trent Rosecrans and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. Any deal could potentially involve Royals pitcher Brady Singer, whom the Reds have interest in.
An India-Singer swap would make sense for both teams. The Royals had a hole at second base last season, and India would fill it nicely. The 2021 NL Rookie of the Year hit .248 with 15 home runs and 13 stolen bases for the Reds in 2024, and still has two more seasons before he is eligible for free agency. He has openly spoken of his desire to play for a winner, and the Royals are certainly closer to fulfilling that label than the Reds are right now.
Singer, a former first-round pick, had a nice season in 2024, posting a 3.71 ERA in 32 starts for Kansas City. He has yet to find a high level of consistency at the MLB level, but he, too, has two more years of team control left. The Royals have the rotation depth to make such a move without losing too much, especially after re-signing Michael Wacha to open the offseason.
The Royals went 86-76 last season and knocked the Baltimore Orioles out of the playoffs in the AL Wild Card Series. They were competitive against the eventual AL champion New York Yankees in a four-game loss in the ALDS as well, so it is easy to see why they appear willing to go for it.
Halloween may be over, but one college basketball player in still very much in the spirit.
A Holy Cross player went viral during Friday’s nationally-televised game against Sacred Heart for his absolutely deranged protective mask. He was wearing a thick gray-colored mask that covered darn near his entire face (except for his eyes).
Check out what he looked like while shooting free throws in the second half.
The image quickly went viral, and many users on X reacted with a torrent of funny memes. Some compared him to Hannibal Lecter while others made jokes about Bane and other fictional villains.
The player in question was Crusaders senior forward Caleb Kenney. The mask apparently worked like a charm for him as he finished with 16 points on 7/8 shooting as Holy Cross beat Sacred Heart 82-75.
Holy Cross, a D1 school that competes in the Patriot League, has not been relevant in awhile with just one NCAA Tournament appearance in the last 17 years. But Kenney did his best to put them on the map this week by wearing the most bizarre protective mask on this side of the NFL’s David Njoku.
ESPN commentator Greg McElroy let the Pitt Panthers have it after a disastrous goal line sequence that cost the team dearly in their game against the Clemson Tigers.
Early in the fourth quarter, the Panthers were set up for 3rd and goal while trailing by 10 points. What followed was a total disaster: two false starts, a delay of game, and a burned timeout pushed Pitt back to the Clemson 16, and the sequence ended with an incomplete pass on third down.
McElroy, who was commentating for ESPN, let Pitt have it after the disastrous sequence.
“I cannot quite comprehend how bad the last two minutes have been for the Pitt Panthers,” McElroy said. “As far as goal line execution, it cannot get any worse than what I’ve just seen the last few plays. It’s unbelievable. Inexcusable. Can’t happen.
“There’s really no excuse for what just transpired. You almost had a delay of game on the second down play. You have to burn a timeout. Then you come out of the timeout, you have the illegal formation. Then you have a false start. I just cannot possibly explain how bad that operation was.”
Pitt did convert on the ensuing field goal to make it 17-10, and they eventually stormed ahead 20-17. Clemson scored a late touchdown of their own, however, to escape with a 24-20 win. That meant the goal line sequence loomed even larger: had Pitt been able to punch it in from the 1, those extra four points could have gotten the Panthers to overtime if the rest of the game played out the same way.
Panthers fans were livid during the sequence, and they certainly will not have been cheered up by the eventual outcome. Pat Narduzzi, who has not always been the most eloquent, will have to answer some questions about this.

Nate Robinson thinks that he is now off the hook after Jake Paul’s victory over Mike Tyson.
In their highly-anticipated heavyweight bout on Friday night, Paul defeated the boxing legend Tyson by unanimous decision to improve to 11-1 for his professional career. While the fight was a snoozefest that drew poor reviews from fans, it at least had the former NBA guard Robinson feeling vindicated.
“Y’all gotta leave me alone now #PaulTyson,” Robinson wrote on X.
The former Dunk Contest champion Robinson was the second opponent that Paul ever boxed, losing to Paul via an embarrassing knockout back in 2020 (video here). With Paul now having beaten perhaps the greatest boxer of all-time in Tyson, Robinson feels like he doesn’t look so bad any more.
Of course, that is a comical post by Robinson considering that Tyson is 58 years old now and managed to go eight rounds against Paul without even knocked down (while Robinson got his clock absolutely cleaned by Paul midway through just Round 2). Though Robinson, who had zero boxing experience and was at a major size disadvantage to Paul, probably never should have gotten into that ring to begin with, he is wrong that the Paul-Tyson result somehow makes him look any better.
Draymond Green has managed to get a flagrant foul on his day off.
The Golden State Warriors veteran Green came under fire during Friday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies for what he did to Grizzlies rookie big man Zach Edey. In the third quarter, Green lost the ball on a drive to the basket, and it was picked up by Edey, who tossed the ball ahead for a fast break opportunity. But Green attempted to stop the play by hooking Edey’s leg, causing the seven-footer to crash hard to the floor.
Here is the video.
Green was whistled for a transition take foul on the play, giving Memphis one free throw and possession. But on Saturday, the league announced that they were upgrading Green’s foul upon a review of the incident. Green was retroactively assessed a Flagrant 1 foul instead of just a common foul, per an NBA announcement.
The former Defensive Player of the Year Green finished the contest against the Grizzlies, which was an NBA Cup game, with 13 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. The Warriors would go on to win 123-118.
Earlier this season, Green, now 34, indicated that he was actively trying to improve his behavior, namely by reducing his number of technical fouls. But despite his pronouncements, it appears Green still has not changed one bit.
