Arch Manning runs wild in bowl game against Michigan
Arch Manning sure looked like a Heisman Trophy-type player during Texas’ Citrus Bowl game against Michigan on Wednesday.
Manning ran wild against the Wolverines, scoring on rushes of 60 and 23 during his Longhorns bowl game at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla. Arch passed for 221 yards with 2 touchdowns and rushed for 155 yards with 2 TDs in Texas’ game. His second rushing touchdown helped blow the game wide open for Texas.

He must have been falling apart physically in September, because this version is magnitudes better. pic.twitter.com/ycvMKmALsM
Arch entered the season with tons of hype, and many feel he did not live up to that billing — nor his last name — for most of the season. But this also was just his first full season as the team’s starter, so he needed some time to grow into the role. If Wednesday’s performance was any indication, Manning looks ready to shine during the 2026 season.
Arch has already been pulling off feats that make history for Texas. He is poised to do even more of that next season.
Mark Williams takes a vulgar shot at the Lakers over rescinded trade
Mark Williams still has not forgotten about how the Los Angeles Lakers did him nearly a year ago.
The Phoenix Suns big man Williams appeared this week on “The Old Man and the Three” podcast. During the episode, Williams opened up about the saga last season where the Lakers agreed to acquire him in a trade with the Charlotte Hornets … only to later renege on the deal.
“Honestly, like, f–k y’all,” said Williams of the Lakers. “I was excited to go there. I thought I was like a piece that could really help them going into the playoffs. And then once they lost, obviously I tweeted a little smiley face. I was hating.”
Here is the clip (but obviously watch out for the bad language).

The seven-footer Williams, 24, was supposed to go to the Lakers at the trade deadline last February for Dalton Knecht and a couple of other assets. But the Lakers ended up failing Williams on his physical, claiming that they had found “multiple issues.” Williams and his camp strongly disagreed with the Lakers’ decision, and Williams’ agent even proceeded to send a shady message to the Lakers over the whole mess.
Meanwhile, Williams did indeed troll the Lakers by posting a smiley face online after the Lakers lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Then a few months later, Williams ended up (successfully) getting traded by the Hornets to the Phoenix Suns.
Williams has done well for the Suns this season, averaging 12.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest while also playing in 28 of a possible 33 games thus far. However, Williams was recently suspended by the league over a heated incident in which he exchanged punches with an opponent.
Indiana football fans taking over Pasadena ahead of Rose Bowl
Indiana fans are stoked for the Hoosiers’ first appearance in the Rose Bowl game since 1968 and have traveled hard to Pasadena, Calif., to enjoy their team’s game.
Hoosiers fans have been sharing photos on social media of themselves out and about around Los Angeles. They have noted how many IU fans there are around the city ahead of Thursday’s Rose Bowl game between the Hoosiers and Alabama Crimson Tide.

Indiana fans were used to experiencing success with their basketball fans, but the dominance from their football team is a new thing. The Hoosiers went 13-0 in the regular season, and quarterback Fernando Mendoza became the first player in program history to win the Heisman Trophy. The team also won its first outright Big Ten championship since 1945.
Indiana is experiencing unprecedented success with their football team, and that has been matched by corresponding levels of fan enthusiasm.
Report: Cardinals have made a decision on head coach Jonathan Gannon
It appears that Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon will be proceeding to a fourth year on the job.
All signs continue to point to Gannon returning as Arizona’s head coach for the 2026 NFL season, Cardinals writer Johnny Venerable of PHNX Sports reported on Wednesday. Venerable does note though that changes may be set to happen at offensive coordinator and special teams for the Cardinals.
The 42-year-old Gannon, who previously served as the defensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles, took over as head coach of the Cardinals before the 2023 season. However, Gannon has failed to secure a playoff berth or even a single winning season during his three years in charge, going an ugly 15-35 (.300) overall.
This year has also been particularly disastrous for Arizona. They are 3-13 heading into the final week of the season, which is tied for the second-worst record in the NFL. The Cardinals have especially rough on the defensive side of the ball as well, allowing 355.4 yards per game (26th in the league) and 28.2 points per game (29th).
The optics on Gannon in particular have not been too great this season either. Gannon had to apologize after a fiery outburst at a Cardinals player earlier this year and has also turned heads with his bizarre press conference moments.
That said, it sounds like Gannon still has a bit longer of a runway to work with in Arizona. The same might not be true however of Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray, who is now only expected to return to the team under one narrow circumstance.
Draymond Green does an infamous profane celebration after clutch basket
Draymond Green decided to bust out the NBA’s most notorious celebration during Wednesday’s game.
Green and the Golden State Warriors defeated the Charlotte Hornets at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, N.C. by a final score of 132-125. During one pivotal moment late in the fourth quarter, Green delivered a clutch basket that helped seal the Warriors’ victory.
With Golden State leading 126-122 with just under one minute remaining, Warriors star Steph Curry missed on a stepback three attempt. But Green was there to clean up the mess, tipping the ball in to give the Warriors a six-point lead and effectively ice the game.
After Green’s tip-in, he ran up the floor doing an infamous celebration — the “big balls” dance. Here is the video.

pic.twitter.com/XgAGIaeORa
The “big balls” dance was first popularized in the mid-2000s by retired former All-Star guard Sam Cassell (who now serves as an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics). But the profane celebration has long been banned in the NBA, and countless players have been fined by the league over the years for doing the dance.
Green, who finished with 10 points, eight rebounds, and 12 assists during Wednesday’s game, will be probably be next up on that list. However, one notable NBA star did manage to do the “big balls” dance during a playoff game last season and somehow only get a warning out of it.
Anthony Edwards storms off the court early during blowout loss
Anthony Edwards did not exactly get the best end to his 2025.
Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves were blown out on Wednesday by the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Ga. While Edwards finished with a team-high 30 points on 10/18 shooting, Minnesota was still embarrassed by a final score of 126-102.
With 7:52 left in the fourth quarter, the Timberwolves took a timeout as they were trailing 109-80. In the middle of that timeout though, Edwards suddenly tossed his towel in the air and stormed off the court to the locker room.

Chris Hine of the Minnesota Star Tribune reports that it appears Edwards was ready to continue playing. However, Minnesota head coach Chris Finch pulled the starters and emptied the bench coming out of the timeout, seemingly leading to Edwards’ outburst.
The former No. 1 overall pick Edwards, 24, is an Atlanta native. Even if the game was already long decided by that point, it looks like Edwards wanted to keep playing for as long as possible in front of his hometown crowd.
Edwards entered play Wednesday averaging 29.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists a game for the Timberwolves (who fell down to sit sixth in the West at 21-13 with the defeat to Atlanta). But it has been a frustrating last several days for Edwards, who also get ejected during a Christmas Day loss to Denver and proceeded to deliver a vulgar message to the referees.
USC icon goes off on team after their Alamo Bowl loss
A former USC Trojans star had a rather profane response to the team’s Alamo Bowl loss to TCU on Tuesday.
USC lost to TCU in overtime 27-24 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Tex., leaving fans and alumni shocked and frustrated after a late collapse. Few were more vocal than former USC running back LenDale White, who sent a series of angry messages on X as the collapse took place.
At one point, White sarcastically asked if USC even practices tacking, or if it’s “always about offense.”
Do y’all ever practice tackling ever or is it always about offense?
— LenDale White (@thereal_lendale) December 31, 2025
White also had some other, more profane messages for the team. He wrote that it was no surprise that “a s—ty team couldn’t win a s—ty bowl” and that the Trojans were “sorry as f–k” for losing to a “weak a–” TCU team.
He concluded by venting about “20 years of f—ing bulls–t” and expressed pessimism that he would see his school in the College Football Playoff anytime soon.
Plenty of USC fans are probably on board with White’s sentiments. This is not even the first time he has been publicly critical of Lincoln Riley and his team, particularly the perceived lack of focus on the defensive side of the ball.
The Trojans went 9-4 this season, which would be a good year for a lot of programs. USC aspires to more than that, however, and coupled with the embarrassing manner in which they lost, frustration is only going to keep growing.
Micah Parsons reacts to the Trevon Diggs news
Micah Parsons is thrilled to have one of his former teammates on his side once again.
The Green Bay Packers on Wednesday claimed Trevon Diggs off waivers. The Packers claimed Diggs a day after he had been waived by the Dallas Cowboys following some tension between the sides.
Diggs was drafted by the Cowboys in 2020 and was in his sixth season with them. He and Parsons were drafted a year apart and had been teammates for four straight seasons until Parsons got traded. Now they are reuniting months later.
“We’re back …,” Parsons wrote in a post on X on the matter.
We’re back …. 🫡
— Micah Parsons (@MicahhParsons11) December 31, 2025
Diggs used to wear jersey number 7 with the Cowboys, while Parsons wore number 11, making them a fun 7-11 combination. Parsons is wearing number 1 in Green Bay though, so the great numerical nickname is gone. Parsons is also out recovering from a torn ACL.
Now the question is how quickly Diggs will be put into action by Green Bay. What we do know is that he will cost a lot of money against the salary cap for the Packers.
Trevon Diggs will count on the Packers salary cap for $472,222 for week 18. If active it will be $531,046.
— Ken – Packers Cap (@KenIngalls) December 31, 2025
Next year his cap number will be $14,970,588 or $15,029,412 if active week 18. The max it would cost is $15,500,000 if active all 17 games.
Spoiler – he will not be…
Diggs has been a favorite this season … of opposing quarterbacks.
Trevon Diggs has no INTs or PBUs in eight games this season. Per PFF, opposing QBs have a perfect 158.3 passer rating on 20 targets against him.
— Matt Schneidman (@mattschneidman) December 31, 2025
He has one TFL.
That TFL came against the Packers with 30 seconds left in OT.
Aaron Rodgers shares intriguing quote about his playing future
As perhaps should have been predicted, Aaron Rodgers is not entirely shutting the door on playing another NFL season.
Rodgers discussed his future on Wednesday, and suggested he expects to have options if he wants to play for another season. The 42-year-old offered no clarity on whether he would do so, but he did rave about his experience with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“Whenever the season ends, I’ll be a free agent. That’ll give me a lot of options — not a lot of options, but maybe one or two if I decide I still want to play,” Rodgers said. “I’ve enjoyed this experience. Everybody in Pittsburgh has been fantastic to me on and off the field, which is really what I was hoping for for this experience. It’s been even better than I was hoping.”
Aaron Rodgers: “I'm 42, and I'm on a 1-year deal. You know what the situation is. Whenever the season ends, I'll be a free agent. That’ll give me a lot of options if I still want to play — Not a lot of options, but … I would think maybe 1 or 2 if I decide I still want to play.” pic.twitter.com/mwlFS3qsH8
— Brooke Pryor (@bepryor) December 31, 2025
Rodgers’ effusive praise of the Steelers certainly makes it sound like he would not be completely opposed to a return. That interest may be mutual, though it obviously depends on whether he wants to keep playing.
Prior to the season, Rodgers very much made it sound like this would be his final season. On the other hand, he tends to take his time when deciding whether he wants to play for another year or not, and is known to be quite cryptic on the topic. This is probably just another example of that, and he will not know how he really feels for a while.
Rodgers has thrown for 3,028 yards with 23 touchdowns and 7 interceptions this season. If he can help guide his team to a win against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night, he will even have a division title and playoff appearance to show for his efforts.
Trevon Diggs has been claimed off waivers
Trevon Diggs already has a new home.
Diggs has been claimed off waivers by the Green Bay Packers. The move comes a day after Diggs was waived by the Dallas Cowboys.
Diggs had missed a month this season as he recovered from a concussion suffered in a home incident. After his health improved, the Cowboys activated him and put him back on their roster for their most recent two games. Diggs’ relationship with the Cowboys was said to have soured this season. The team cut him after a dispute over his post-game travel arrangements.
Diggs ending up being claimed by the Packers is not too surprising. The NFC North squad seems to love Cowboys defensive players, as they were the ones who ponied up to get Micah Parsons in a trade before the season began.
The Packers are hoping that Diggs can still be an effective player. Diggs shined during the 2021 season when he intercepted 11 passes and was named first-team All-Pro. He has only played in 19 games over the last three seasons, largely due to knee injuries. He had 25 tackles in eight games for the Cowboys this year.
The Cowboys signed Diggs to a five-year, $97 million contract extension in 2023.
Ben Johnson has awkward exchange with reporter over infamous Bears stat
Whether he wanted one or not, Chicago Bears coach Ben Johnson got a history lesson from the team’s media on Wednesday.
Johnson was asked if there was any added incentive to get quarterback Caleb Williams over 4,000 passing yards for the season during the team’s final game. The Bears are the only NFL franchise to never have a 4,000-yard passer, an infamous stat that the fanbase is all too familiar with.
Johnson said it would be great if it happened, but he is putting no added importance on the number.
“I think it’s an arbitrary number,” Johnson said. “I don’t know. What would that mean? You tell me.”
Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times drew some laughs with his response to the first-year head coach.
“You’re new, but that’s kind of a big deal here,” Lieser said.

Reporter: “You're new, but that's kind of a big deal here.”
😭😭😭pic.twitter.com/RYcneN66Gk
Fundamentally, Johnson gave the correct answer. Both he and Williams are focused on getting the win. There will definitely be some Bears fans who will have one eye on the passing yards stat, though.
Williams has thrown for 3,730 yards this season. That would mean he needs 270 yards to achieve the mark, a number he has hit four times this year. In other words, it is possible, but not necessarily likely.
This is not the first time Johnson has had an awkward interaction with a reporter this season. This one wasn’t quite as weird, but if nothing else, Johnson is now very familiar with how many Bears fans feel about that statistic.
Joe Burrow drops hint about how he will handle Myles Garrett’s sack pursuit
If Myles Garrett wants to break the NFL’s single-season sack record on Sunday, he will have to bring down Joe Burrow at least once. Burrow, it seems, will not be using any special tactics to try and prevent him from getting it.
Burrow was asked about Garrett’s pursuit of the sack record on Wednesday, and the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback made it clear that it will not play into his thinking about how he approaches the game. In fact, he even said if he has to take a sack for the good of the team, he will do it.
“I’m not going to overcompensate either way,” Burrow said. “I’m not going to go out of my way to not let him get the record and I’m not going to go out of my way to let him get the record, either. I’m going to go and play football. There’s going to be situations where a sack is the best of the bad outcomes of that play and maybe I take one.”

“There are going to be situations where a sack is the best of the bad outcomes of that play.” pic.twitter.com/RuPaiDVl4R
Burrow’s comments may bring back memories of Brett Favre famously going down to give Strahan the record, which some people still think was a gift from Favre. It certainly does not sound like he has any plans to do that, but he is not going to do something stupid just to prevent Garrett from getting the record, either.
Garrett has 22 sacks on the season. A half a sack would tie the single-season record, while a full sack would give him sole possession of it.
For his part, Garrett thinks some of his opponents are more worried about keeping him from getting sacks then they are about winning the game. Burrow does not sound like he will be one of them.
Vanderbilt punter cost his team a TD with the weirdest blunder
Vanderbilt punter Nick Haberer cost his team dearly with an inexplicable error late in the first half against Iowa.
The Commodores faced the Hawkeyes on Wednesday in the Reliaquest Bowl at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fl., and were trailing 7-3 with under a minute to go in the second quarter. Facing 4th and 27 from their own 15-yard line, Vanderbilt obviously called for a punt to flip the field enough to ensure they would only remain down four at the half.
For some reason, Haberer took the snap and jogged to his right toward the line of scrimmage, initially looking like he was going to try to keep the ball and run with it. He finally let go of a late punt, but did not kick the ball until after he had crossed the line of scrimmage.
By rule, that is an illegal kick penalty. It is a five-yard penalty from the spot, meaning Iowa got the ball at Vanderbilt’s 10-yard line in what essentially amounted to a turnover.
Vanderbilt illegal punt gives Iowa the ball on Vandy's 10 pic.twitter.com/dKld9fJ81B
— Heavens! (@HeavensFX) December 31, 2025
Iowa needed no time to take advantage of the error and scored a touchdown on the very next play to go up 14-3. Haberer’s mistake essentially counted as six points for the opponent.
We see punters make errors somewhat regularly, especially at the college level. There was a rather high-profile mistake in the College Football Playoff already this year. Those errors rarely, if ever, involve the punter actually crossing the line of scrimmage before kicking, though.
Haberer’s error may not wind up being the deciding mistake in the game, but it certainly gave Iowa plenty of momentum and left the Commodores with an even steeper hill to climb than they ever should have had to deal with. There is certainly some irony in this coming against the Hawkeyes, a team that has somehow become known for its high-end punting strategies over the years.
Dan Lanning shares his plan to fix the college football schedule
Oregon coach Dan Lanning is one of a number of coaches who is having to deal with the awkward college football schedule and assistant coaches accepting jobs elsewhere before their seasons are over. He thinks he knows how to fix it.
Lanning argued that college football should play its national championship game on New Year’s Day every year. He feels playoff games should be played on Saturdays in December in order to expedite the schedule.
“Our national championship game is Jan. 19,” Lanning said, via Dan Wolken of Yahoo Sports. “That’s really hard to envision as a coach that’s going out and trying to join a new program and start a staff. It’s hard for players to understand what continuity looks like and where they’re going to be at and to manage that with visits, the portal and everything else that exists. The clear way to do that is to bump the season up and make sure these games happen a lot faster.”
Lanning’s offensive coordinator, Will Stein, has accepted the head coaching job at Kentucky. His defensive coordinator, Tosh Lupoi, will be taking over at Cal. Both are sticking with Oregon until the end of the season, but admit their schedules have been difficult as they try to assemble staffs and come to grips with their new jobs.
The transfer portal opens Jan. 2, before the season even ends, and schools want to have coaches in place to take advantage of that, meaning they have to move quickly to make their hires. Other schools are having an even harder time dealing with coaching changes during the playoff season as a result of that.
Lanning’s proposal might force teams to start the season earlier than they already do. In the grand scheme of things, however, that might be worth it.
Another Patriots player is facing an assault charge
Another New England Patriots player is facing an assault charge, this time stemming from an incident in August.
Defensive tackle Christian Barmore is facing a domestic assault charge stemming from an alleged incident that took place on Aug. 8, according to Boston’s WCVB 5. Barmore allegedly had an argument with the victim over food and the temperature of the air conditioning in his bedroom, and threw the victim to the floor before grabbing her shirt by the neck.
Charging documents indicate that Barmore is facing one count of assault and battery on a family/household member, which is a misdemeanor. The alleged victim had been in a relationship with Barmore.
The timing of the alleged incident comes shortly after Barmore was hospitalized for blood clots. He recovered and has played in all 16 of the Patriots’ games so far this season.
Barmore is in his fifth NFL season, all with New England. He has 26 total tackles this season and 14.5 career sacks.
Barmore is the second Patriots player to face an assault charge this week. This news comes one day after teammate Stefon Diggs was accused of strangulation in an alleged incident which took place on Dec. 2.
Mike McDaniel could be a candidate for another head coach job
Mike McDaniel is facing an uncertain future as head coach of the Miami Dolphins, but he could land elsewhere quite quickly if he is let go.
ESPN’s Dan Graziano wrote Wednesday that McDaniel had been viewed as likely to be retained for 2026, but that “the winds seem to have shifted a bit” recently on that possibility. Colleague Jeremy Fowler noted, however, that the Cleveland Browns would have strong interest in McDaniel if they were to part ways with Kevin Stefanski.
McDaniel previously spent one season as Cleveland’s wide receivers coach in 2014. The Browns clearly admire him, though it is no guarantee that he becomes available. The Browns have reportedly considered it, though he, too, is said to be receiving interest from elsewhere.
Reports earlier in the season suggested McDaniel was unlikely to be fired by the Dolphins despite their disappointing season. Things have not changed much since then, though it is possible other factors have influenced Miami’s thought process. The team has won five of its last seven games, though they lost consecutive games to Pittsburgh and Cincinnati recently.
McDaniel is 35-34 in his time as Miami’s head coach. The team made the playoffs under him for his first two seasons, but are missing out for the second consecutive year.
Luka Doncic had trash talk for Dennis Schroder
Dennis Schroder has one of the most infamous bag-fumbling stories in the NBA, and Los Angeles Lakers superstar guard Luka Doncic made sure to let him hear it.
In Sunday’s game between the Lakers and the Sacramento Kings at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Calif., Doncic and Schroder figured in some heated moments.
During one of their interactions, Doncic could be heard trolling Schroder for turning down the Lakers’ 4-year, $84 million contract extension during the 2020-21 NBA season.
“Shoulda signed that contract, baby,” Doncic told Schroder, who decided to bet on himself for what he hoped would be a bigger payday in the offseason. You can watch the clip here.
Instead, Schroder ended up inking a 1-year, $5.89 million deal with the Boston Celtics, a far cry from the money the Lakers were willing to grant him.
Schroder’s regretful decision to decline the Lakers’ offer will always haunt him.
It’s apparently being used by opponents to get under his skin, and Doncic is unlikely to be the last player to bring it up to his face.
Doncic made Schroder’s night worse by dropping 34 points and recording 7 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals to lead the Lakers to a 125-101 win over Sacramento. The Kings guard, on the other hand, scored just 11 points with 7 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals.
Old Stefon Diggs video resurfaces after latest allegations
An old video involving NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs is making the rounds online amid shocking allegations against the New England Patriots star.
In the clip, which was part of the Minnesota Vikings’ “96 Questions” series and recorded during Diggs’ time with the NFC North franchise, players were asked which teammate they’d least want to date their sister.
Running back Dalvin Cook and wide receivers Laquon Treadwell and Adam Thielen all answered Diggs, each barely showing any hesitation before responding. Well, Cook pretended to search the depths of his soul for the answer, but it was clear who he had in mind immediately after hearing the question.
“He’s just crazy,” Treadwell bluntly explained. “He’s just outrageous. Don’t know what he’s going to say. He just don’t know what to expect every day, so he couldn’t date my sister.”
Thielen echoed Treadwell’s sentiment about Diggs.
“He’s just not a guy that you want to bring home to your parents,” claimed Thielen. “Like, you don’t want your sister to bring him home to your parents, so therefore she can’t date him.”
When it was his turn, Diggs said “Weatherly,” referring to linebacker Stephen Weatherly, “because he is ugly,” before bursting into laughter.
You can watch the video here:

That viral video is the least of Diggs’ worries at the moment.
He is scheduled for an arraignment on Jan. 23 as he faces a felony charge of strangulation and a misdemeanor charge of assault stemming from an alleged incident on Dec. 2 involving a woman who claims the four-time Pro Bowler smacked her across the face and tried to choke her.
Fernando Mendoza uses 4 words to sum up CFP journey
The No. 1 seed Indiana Hoosiers are about to play in their first game in the College Football Playoff on Thursday against the No. 9 seed Alabama Crimson Tide at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.
It’s a huge game that only a few probably envisioned Fernando Mendoza and his team playing in before the 2025 college football season.
But the Hoosiers defied expectations, beating every team they crossed paths with in the regular season before taking down the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Big Ten Championship game.
During Tuesday’s Rose Bowl media day, Mendoza was asked about how he’s able to handle the gravity of the moment, as the Hoosiers prepare for the showdown against the Crimson Tide.
“Pressure is a privilege,” Mendoza said of a message he believes defines his team’s situation, via the Big Ten Network.
“Although we’re the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff, we have all these high expectations. It’s the first time Indiana has ever done this,” continued the 2025 Heisman Trophy winner.
“At the same time, we’re grateful and we want this opportunity. This is what we’ve been working for the entire offseason.
Alabama offers a formidable challenge for Mendoza and the Hoosiers, who will enter the CFP quarterfinal matchup with a spotless 13-0 overall record. But Indiana has also proven itself over and over again this season, with wins over the likes of the Oregon Ducks, Penn State Nittany Lions and Ohio State.
Fever react to Caitlin Clark’s farewell message before 2026
Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is ready for 2026.
The 2025 WNBA season was filled with challenges for the former Iowa Hawkeyes guard, as she dealt with injuries that held her to only 13 games in her second campaign in the pros.
In a social media post on Tuesday, Clark summed up her experiences in 2025 by sharing a series of snapshots and captioning it with, “2025 you were a year… 2026 I welcome you with open arms let’s get it.”
The post can also be seen as Clark’s way of putting 2025 behind her. After the adversities she faced during the 2025 season, she’s clearly looking forward to a much better 2026.
Clark’s post garnered a lot of reactions from fans and other basketball figures, including her team.
“Let’s gooo,” the Fever’s official Instagram account commented.
Although Clark missed several games due to injuries to her leg and groin, the Fever managed to go 24-20 and make the WNBA playoffs, even defeating the Atlanta Dream in the first round before being eliminated in the semifinals by the eventual league champions, the Las Vegas Aces.
In her second WNBA season, Clark averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds. She especially struggled with her shooting, as her effective field goal percentage dropped from 52.2% in 2024 to only 44.1% in 2025.
A major bounce-back season from Clark may be coming for the Fever and the WNBA in 2026.
